Music Is Not Binary
“If I was a billionaire, and had my time all over, I would invest all of my money in setting up a factory to produce vinyl records again.”
Roger Daltrey
“I prefer vinyl. We talk about this backstage; as musicians it comes up a lot. It’s a shame the new generation is missing out on albums.”
Jack White
Vinyl Is Art
From the detailed cover art, to the candid pictures of your favorite people inside, every Record tells a story. A story a download never could.
It's a parent handing a child the cover of "News of the World" by Queen, watching as their eyes grow at the sight of such a curiosity. It's today's young person, wanting to own the songs that move them, rather than just renting them for as long as they have cell signal. It's the sound of the mellow hiss as the needle enters the groove, and the impossible wait until the first guitar chord flies.
At Retro Room Records and oddities, we believe Vinyl is Art.

Synthwave is one of the greatest genres of music to emerge in years, and the apex of that sound is L.A. band, The Midnight. With incredible “80's Reborn” synth tracks, "Monsters" sticks with you long after the needle leaves the groove.

Retro Find
The Fabulous
Johnny Cash
In a bulk collection we picked up, nestled perfect between two random records, was a stunning first pressing of The Fabulous Johnny Cash. 10 years before Folsom, The Man In Black sounds wise beyond his years.
Far from the catchy pop rifts when she debuted with "Everywhere", Michelle Branch sees the world through a clearer lens these days, and while her pop influences still mold the tracks on "Hopeless Romantic", there is so much more depth this go around, and fans are better for it.

Gaslighter
The Chicks
Gaslighter marks a bold new chapter in the storied career of The Chicks. They clearly are completely out of f*#@'s to give, and this album showcases that evolving country pop sound while still sure to piss someone off.
